My background
While many athletes started competing as children, I didn't play competitively until high school and continued throughout my adulthood on a local level. Once I became a father, I started volunteering with the local leagues to help as coach. I'm passionate about playing basketball and enjoy being giving back to the City of Henderson.
I have 15 years of volunteering experience and spent 8 years partnering with National Youth Sports & Nevada Charter Sports League to create opportunities for our youth to practice and play indoor year round. I've coached at Signature Preparatory, SLAM Academy on both the high school and elementary divisions, competing in the NCSAA league and the NIAA league. I'm a certified, accredited Level 3 NFHS coach and a member of the National Alliance for Youth Sports organization.
I enjoy creating partnerships in our community & being apart of our future's growth and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something wonderful. I strive to continue this endeavor as a volunteer searching for other like minded individuals who would like to join the Academy and help the youth of our community.
Spartans Support Team
Our support team consists of volunteer coaches who assist with multiple basketball club divisions. There is always an opportunity to partner with the academy. Please join us in providing a positive atmosphere for kids to play indoors. All volunteers are also registered with National Alliance for Youth Sport. Which is a national platform providing resources for volunteer enrichment and background validation.
My Winning Philosophy
I believe player safety and sportsmanship are the primary goals. The sport is the game and we're all in this together. While I am very competitive, I also want to support all our competitors as we strive to make the sport of basketball great in the City of Henderson. I work every day to better myself and to strengthen the individuals around me. I believe the goal of winning is simply the by product of success from the collaborate efforts of the coaches & team members. We teach advanced skills, coupled with layered schemes. Keeping players focused on self discipline to accomplish the team goal.
Our Club
The Spartans basketball club started 8 years ago, competing in the recreational division with National Youth Sports. Since then the club has grown and is now competing in multiple divisions with AAU. The club participates during the AAU season which is, March through September and provides personal training during the off-season (winter). We are a focused driven organization open to players who are looking to broaden their skill sets. The club is inclusive and home to all level of players. Our goal is to provide a pathway for our community, where players can follow their dreams.

Winter Basketball League 26
Spartans Basketball Academy offers a variety of programs for youth within the City of Henderson, designed to help athletes achieve their basketball goals. Whether you're new to the sport and want to learn the basics or you are a more experienced player looking to advance your skills and confidence, we have a place for you! All aspects of the game are covered from on-court fundamental instructions and off-court lectures and Zoom classroom sessions. Were currently looking for players to fill our 10U & 12U teams, we have both competitive and recreational divisions. The teams will be practicing twice a week an hour a session. All games will be played on Saturday morning.
The Academy is currently participating with National Youth Sports in the winter league and would enjoy having you join the Spartans.
